Mugetuo is a well-known scenic spots in Kham-Tibetan area for its natural beauty and colorful lakes. 20km from Kangding city proper,. it is the main part of Gongga Scenic area with an evevation of 2900m to 3800 m. It has the biggest highland lake over 2000 m. elevation. Covering an area of 40,000 square km,it is characteristc of highland lakas , hot springs, virgin forestsand grassland, snow-capped mountain,. All these have made the plain and quiet ¡°Fairy Land¡± . Mugetuo Natural Reserve is composed of six parts: Azelia Valley, Horse Racing Terrace, Seven-Color Lake, Medcine Pool, Mugecuo and Red Sea Grassland. Among them, the Mechines Pool ranks world first for its more than one hundred spring month in 70 square meter area, and these springs have various medical effects, such as brighten- eye spring, healthen-stomache spring, Washing-foot spring.

Kangding , the average altitude is about 3500meters and wide with beautiful snow mountain surrounded . The well-known Takong monastery is just sit in the middle of of wide grassland .Every holiday the diligent Tibetan will hold party here ,dancing and singing for days to celebrate their harvest and happy life , when is a good occasion to appreciated the truly Kham Tibetan folks .
This route is comaratively easier. It is mainly made of Kham Tibetan grassdland, highland lakes, Tibetan Temples, and the unique Kham culture and folklores. This Route starts from Mugecuo Scenic Area and ends with Tagong Monastery, which is a Yellow Tibetan Buddhist monastery with more than one thousand years. It has conbined the culture and nature successfully. On the trekking way, you alse have a far-seeing of the Yala Holy Moountain.
